Kretek

for flute, clarinet in Bb, percussion, violin and cello 

This work is performed and recorded by Ensemble Mosaik as part of the collaborative research project funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Kretek is the an exploration of Gambang Kromong's idiomatic qualities adapted to western ensembles and instruments. its title are based on the rhythm of Gambang Kromong ensemble that are used as the foundation of the piece.
