This work first premiered as part of Irene's Junior Composition Recital: Metropolis at Universitas Pelita Harapan, Tangerang and selected to be performed at Pekas Komponis Indonesia 2019 at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta.

Disconnect is the first piece of a series called 'Disconnect' in which I explore the themes of fragile and shifting nature of connection. In this particular work, I explore a condition of contemporary life in which technological advancement, rather than bringing us closer, often intensifies our sense of separation from our surroundings. This paradox creates an inner tension; an emotional and psychological disconnect that manifests as turmoil, fragmentation, and loneliness within the mind.
